BY-GEN Midge Cell Style

Midge-Cell, named after Midge Sinnaeve, is an asbtract style meant for creating interesting cubic wireframe patterns.

Tips and Tricks

Examples are applied to a cube, subdivided by 3 levels.

Increasing Resolution

  • By increasing the 'octree depth' value in the Remesh modifier, you can increase the resolution of the wireframe representation of the mesh shape.

Wire Thickness

  • By increasing the thickness value in the Wireframe modifier, you can increase the width of the framing.

Beveling

  • By adding a bevel modifier after the Midge-Cell stack and disabling the Clamp Overlap value, you can get some interesting beveled edge styles around the corners of the wire framing.
