Patreon Product Access Terms (Studio Unlimited)

The Sapphire tier of my Patreon gives you access to select products, available in the Product Access collection.

While your Sapphire tier membership (or above) is active, you have the right to use the products within their Studio Unlimited license terms. While some products have more detailed licenses (such as the Studio Friendly License), other products may not declare a license. In general, the following applies:

  • If the product has a Studio Friendly License, Patreon product access will give you the highest tier of the license (Studio Unlimited) during the active period. When your access period ends, the license for your studio is rescinded (you may no longer use the product), however anything made during the active period will remain valid.

  • Generally, you may use the content of any product available on the product access to produce both personal and commercial outputs (using them for your own work).

  • However, assets and content available on the product access must never be redistributed to anyone outside of your studio / company. You may not repackage the content of the products (such as files and assets of the tools and resources), regardless of license, in your own commercial products. The term ‘commercial use’ allows you to create commercial outputs using the content (for example, you may use the content to produce an animation for a client and receive payment), but it does not allow you to take the original product and resell it, with the exception of compiled entertainment mediums such as video games where assets may be obfuscated and inaccessible to the end user.

  • For products which do not have specific licenses, assume you can use them for any number of projects, commercial or otherwise, following the above description (unless otherwise specified).

What Happens When My Access Period Ends?

Everything your studio / company created with the products while the product access period was active will always be valid, even after your access ends! You can tap into the product access, create new content, and then tap out whenever you need. The bottom line is: you only have the right to download, use, and create content with the products while the access is active, but you maintain usage rights for anything created during those periods, forever.
