Metal Shell
The Metal Shell style will create a decorated solid wireframe with bevelled connective segments. This is a brilliant mode for creating grating/fencing. It will follow the geometry of the original base mesh.
Tips and Tricks
Examples are applied to a cube, subdivided by 3 levels.
Triangulation
Before applying the style, there is a checkbox option for 'triangulation'. Because this modify style matches the geometry of the base mesh, triangulating the faces will create 3-sided pads.
Wire Thickness
By increasing the thickness value in the Wireframe modifier, you can expand both the side of the connective junctions and the width of the connecting lines between them.
